The Event

The night of the event, fig set up thier Dj's with a live drummer and combined hip world beats with bongo banging drum smaking head bobbing fun. This sound set the tone for the event and kept people swaying and tapping thier toes to the beat while they feasted on the many goodies provided by the resturants. The photographs and logo reels played all night on three large screens. Frost Provided us with the screens, projectors, and pumping sound system that made our content and music look and sound great...Thanks Frost! The one minute film was introduced by Bill Curtis and screened just before the live auction.

Spaghetti is an original film produced by fig media to help promote the cause. Director Melissa Martens created this film in one week, pooling the recources and talent of fig artists, editors, shooters, and working with Share our Strenghts' Pam Gross to create a compelling one minute short meant to inspire people to donate more to the cause. The film was storyboarded and scripted in two days, shot with the aid of the ECC Youth Arts Program, and put together over the course of three intense editing days that included a color correction process, foley design and a feedback session with the editing team of fig. The result is a charming short film about two kids who are cooking Spaghetti to a voice over about childhood hunger. The peice was introduced by Bill Kurtis the night of. (see Bill with the fig crew above!)
