The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Overview

Each year, in communities across the country, dynamic, passionate candidates engage in a spirited competition to earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Man & Woman of the Year” titles, by raising funds for blood cancer research. The candidates compete in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year.

Production
Fig films shot photos and video of all the candidates along with the boy and girl of the year. Boy & Girl of the Year: Emilio Ruiz & Hannah Brazendale, Man & Woman of the Year: Kostas Giannoulias & Jill Pontillo. Our biggest challenge was getting our children to talk openly about their experience. We knew how important it would be to hear from our heroes directly. We were very touched by the footage we walked away with.

Results
At this event, participants raised: $625,055.00. Our families received standing ovations at the conclusion of each screening.
